After a lazy (river) morning at the hotel in Tucson today we drove out to Saguaro National Park. What's different from our visit to the park yesterday is that we went west instead of east. Saguaro NP is geographically split into two parts, one on each side of the Tucson valley ( Read more... )

After a really rough night/morning (previous blog) we checked out of our hotel in Tucson, AZ a bit past 9am and headed toward Saguaro National Park east of town.

A few days ago I wrote about how one of our "bucket list" goals is to visit all US National Parks. The idea to checkpoint our progress came late the week before, when we were on the boat to Key Biscayne National Park. That's where a ranger informed us there are now 60 national parks.
